Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soft Butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons Standard Grade Flour
- 1 cup Fresh Low Fat Milk
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- ½ cup grated tasty cheese
Method
- Melt the Butter or margarine in a small saucepan. Add the Standard Grade Flour and stir with a wire whisk for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the Fresh Low Fat Milk.
- Return the saucepan to heat and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper and add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
Note: This sauce can also be made in the microwave.
Tips
This sauce is delicious over cauliflower and broccoli, beans, peas, carrots or a big mixed vegetable combination.
